RSC Chairman Mark Walker on Tax Reform

Washington - Republican Study Committee Chairman Mark Walker released the following statement in response to the introduction of the tax reform proposal:

Every person in the House knows it is imperative that we deliver on our promise to reform our broken tax code, and the Republican Study Committee will play a vital role in ensuring Congress keeps its word. I commend Chairman Brady for his work toward drafting a tax reform bill that reaches past the lowest common denominator and towards a consensus around conservative ideas. We look forward to reading through the entire text but know that Washington will fight this bill, desiring to keep the carveout-laden status quo, but conservatives will prevail and produce a final bill focused on prosperity and growth for all communities.
