WASHINGTON – Republican Study Committee Chairman Mike Johnson (R-La.) released the following statement after voting against partisan National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):

"For decades, the NDAA has been a bipartisan package that funds the Department of Defense in support of our men and women in uniform. Unfortunately, Democrats in the House bucked that long-standing precedent and created a partisan bill that promotes a leftist agenda. Instead of providing necessary resources, this bill hamstrings our military's ability to provide a strong national defense. Democrats are holding our military hostage to score political points with their base, and it is unacceptable."
